Waktu pertama aku lihat dia… kayak tiba-tiba musim dingin ini jadi ke-fastforward langsung ke musim semi. Kalian tahu kan? Hangat, tunas-tunas tanaman mulai muncul, dan DEG, DEG, DEG, kayak ada perasaan deg-degan buat mulai sesuatu yang baru. Deg-degan tapi sekaligus juga excited. Persis, perasaan itu yang muncul di kali pertama aku mengenalnya.

“Anou… Sumimasen…”

Itu pertama kali aku dengar suaranya. Bukan di Jepang, ataupun dia yang orang Jepang. Dia orang Korea asli, murid sekolah musiknya Sungmin, kakak kembarku, walaupun ia memang lama tinggal di Jepang sih, persis seperti aku, Sungmin, dan kembaran kami satu lagi, Donghae. Waktu itu dia tiba-tiba menimpali aku dan Sungmin yang memang sedang mengobrol dalam bahasa Jepang di persiapan proyek musikal kami ini. Mendengarnya, maka aku dan Sungmin seketika menoleh, dan aku baru tersadar… kalau sejak tadi ada gadis seindah dia (hei, sejak kapan aku jadi gombal macam Donghae begini??) berdiri di belakang kakak kembarku itu.

“Na wasseo… (Aku pulang…)” Seru Ryeoru begitu memasuki rumahnya. Rumah keluarganya, bukan rumahnya bersama sang suami, Park Jungsoo aka Leeteuk. Si kembar nomor 2, Eunhyuk, langsung bangkit dari malas-malasannya di sofa ruang tamu (sambil garuk-garuk perut, cuma pake singlet+celana piyama pula, eww) begitu mendengar suara boombass sang noona.

“Noona! Ngapain?”

Ryeoru langsung menjatuhkan diri ke atas sofa sebelum menjawab, “Memangnya aku nggak boleh pulang ke rumahku sendiri, ya?”

“‘Berantem, terus pulang ke rumah orang tua’, ya?” Tebak Eunhyuk ngasal. Ryeoru segera mengayunkan tas tangannya buat menggeplak adik keduanya itu (Sungmin diitung adik pertama soalnya). PLAK!

“Adaww!! Ihh, barbar amat sih si noona ini!” Teriak si korban seketika.

Chapter 2. IMPORTANT TEST

“Jadi gimana, gimana? Apa keputusan kalian? Eh, tapi kalaupun kalian negatif juga aku bakal tetep jalan dengan dia sih, kalau perlu kawin lari.” Sepulang kerja aku langsung memburu noona-ku yang kebetulan belum pulang ke rumahnya dan adikku di kamarnya. Terlihat adikku itu sedang sibuk membuka-buka berbagai buku dan kertas-kertas tua berisi hanja yang berserakan di ranjangnya. Ia berkali-kali membetulkan letak kacamatanya (mata adikku memang aslinya minus, hanya kalau keluar ia memakai softlense baby eye favoritnya), tapi tetap tak meresponku sama sekali, seperti bahkan tidak sadar kalau aku ada disini.

Tapi ternyata noona-ku masih bisa mendengar kedatanganku yang grasa-grusu itu dan PLAK! tanpa aba-aba langsung menggeplakku dengan salah satu jilidan kertas yang sedang dibacanya. “Kalau ngomong jangan sembarangan! Kawin lari, anggota keluarga Park nggak ada yang pikirannya pendek kayak gitu, malu-maluin aja.”

“Eottokhae? Orang aku lahir di keluarga Lee…” Cibirku pelan.

Chapter 1. THE OBJECTION

“Ooh baby, baby, baby, oohh~” aku berlari-lari menuruni tangga sambil bernyanyi-nyanyi riang (dan nyisir, sebetulnya). Hari ini libur dan aku akan berkencan… Huaah, jeongmal haengbokhada^^

“Mengapa hatiku cenat-cenut tiap ada kamu~” sekarang lagunya bahkan sudah berganti. Ooh, bahkan ‘lagu beginian’ pun sekarang terdengar merdu di telingaku, apalagi kalau aku yang nyanyi begini #PLAKK!

Tapi ternyata hal itu tidak berlaku buat kembaran beda spesies-ku (dia monyet dan aku ikan, maksudnya). Ia buru-buru menghentikan gerakan tarinya dan mematikan iPod yang dipasang di speaker ruang keluarga kami.

“Ikan! Lagu apa-apaan sih, gerakanku jadi kacau semua gini kan… Ganggu banget ngerti nggak!” Omelnya. Oh ya, kembaranku ini koreografer, makanya wajar kalau kegiatannya di rumah ya nge-dance aja (selain makan-tidur sih, pasti), ngelanjutin kerjaan di studio, katanya.

It’d been almost half a year we’d been in a relationship, me and Saera. We met in one musical project that handled by Ryeoru noona and Teuki Hyung’s event organizer company, in which I was the choreographer. She was a student of Sungmin (Sungmin once a music teacher before he was scouted to be a trainee from an artists agency) that was having an internship there. Actually I knew that at first she didn’t have any feelings for me, because her heart was all for her guitar teacher. Yeah, Sungmin. It was very obvious; her eyes, her attitude toward him, everybody can tell. Everybody, except Sungmin himself. Maybe I could be counted cheating on my own brother, but I was too in love with Saera that I finally used that unawareness of Sungmin to confess to Saera. As expected, she, at first, refused, but I also refused to give up until she finally accepted me. I was sure I would be able to make her forgot Sungmin and just love me instead. And, oh, she really had no idea that I knew about her feelings toward Sungmin.

“CHEERS!” Jungsoo raised his 3rd soju glass high which followed by the musical crews and actors. We just finished the last show today and it was Jungsoo’s company’s habit to celebrate the success of its project with a feast.

“It was really nice working with your company, Park Sajang-nim, Park-ssi.” Ahn-ssi who sat with us praised Jungsoo and my sister. My sister’s surname was also Park, Park Ryeoru, and she was the creative division leader of the company.

“Ah, we’re still lacking in many things, Ahn-ssi, especially my wife and her creative team.” Jungsoo joked while messed Ryeoru’s hair. She only stuck her tongue to her husband. All of us laughed, this ‘owners couple’ childish behaviour really never failed making everybody laughing.

“By the way, ya, Sungmin-ah, haven’t I told you to invite your student too?” Ryeoru asked.

“Eunhyukie’s apprentice, you mean?” Jungsoo laughed. My sister quickly wrapped a piece of garlic in a lettuce then put them in Jungsoo’s open mouth. There we laughed again…

I shook my head, “Our school is on holiday for two weeks after the exam so I haven’t met her again this last week, sorry Neesan.”

Alkisah, di Korsel sana, ada sekumpulan 13 pemuda yang sama-sama mencintai sepakbola *halah*. Merasa sudah saling cocok, merekapun membentuk satu tim dengan posisi yang selalu tetap, dan menolak dipisahkan. Mereka adalah Leeteuk sang kapten sekaligus pelatih—irit biaya gaji, katanya, Heechul pada posisi pengacau pikiran lawan (baca: saking cantiknya jadi bagian godain), Han Geng si pemain naturalisasi *kebanyakan nonton timnas -_-* sebagai libero (apa bolero? fashionista nulis tentang bola ya gini nih), Yesung pada sayap kanan, Kangin dan Shindong dengan ‘bodi beruang’ mereka sebagai pemain belakang, Sungmin sayap kiri, Eunhyuk paha atas, eh salah, maap author lagi laper, maksudnya Eunhyuk sebagai gelandang dengan pasangan sejatinya Donghae, mereka bagaikan pasangan Misaki-Tsubasa di tim ini. Lanjut, ada Siwon sebagai GK alias goal keeper, Kyuhyun sebagai penyerang atau striker dengan kemampuan perhitungan matematisnya dalam menendang bola (besar sudut tendangan berpengaruh pada peluang masuknya bola, menurutnya), juga Ryeowook dan Kibum pada posisi pembantu doa—karena cuma cadangan, nasib dah.

I didn’t like her.

Even if I did, I COULDN’T like her. I couldn’t like my own student.

I meant, where was my professionality if I did it??

I had to admit that eversince we played the Bella’s together, we became closer-we even attended the musical premiere together-as apparently we share the same interest in piano, but I kept trying to maintain it as a student-teacher relationship. Though I already realized now that she was so appealing; pretty, smart, et cetera, but being professional was more important for me, for now. Okay, maybe now I sounded more old-schooled than ever, I didn’t care.

“Seonsaeng, look! Now it’s Eunhyuk-ssi’s turn giving me ticket for the show! Uwa, it still hasn’t even a week after the premiere.” She told me after the class ended. I just nodded without facing her, still busy examining hers and her class friends’ written test.

“Seonsaeng-nim, jeobwayo (look at me).” She whined. I put my pen and looked at her as she wished.

“What?” I looked pissed. Actually, I was on my way to back off of her slowly, I couldn’t let this student-teacher relationship go further than it should be.

“Accompany me again.”

“Pass.” I answered straightly.

“Waeyo?”

“Busy.” I said while continuing my work, pretending to be busy with all the papers.

She looked disappointed, but looking to all the papers, she nodded, “Geurohji…” She said. She slapped her own cheeks lightly then straightly smiled again. “It’s okay, Seonsaeng-nim. Ganbatte kudasai (fighting)! Annyeonghikaseyo…” She bowed then quickly ran out from the class.

I sighed after I was sure she already far. I did the right thing. This was the right thing.

“So many Kim surnames in this whole country, why do you have to be their sister??” I couldn’t stand to express my madness, sadness to her. She only bent her face.

Aaarggh~ okay, I knew it wasn’t her fault, how would she know in which family she’ll be born? But to think of it again… Kim wasn’t a rare surname, in fact it was among some of the mass surnames in the country. Then why, why she had to be that Kim family member? Why she had to be those boys’ sister? Why she had to be the only sister of my sibling’s eternal enemy??

Geez, I couldn’t stand not to be angry everytime I remembered those boys, especially the second brother, Kangin. Kangin or Kim Youngwoon was mine and my brothers’ classmate when we were still in Junior High School in Japan. Gosh, he was soooo gross. He always acted like he was Giant from Doraemon series, acted like he was the most powerful, the leader of all.

While in fact, the only thing made him looked like Giant was his appearance. Baldy, tall, big, annoying guy. It was Donghae who first started a confrontation with him. He was sick of his feudalism. I still remembered the first time Donghae decided to break out of Kangin’s power in class. He, of course, always asked for our advise before doing something, especially for this case, where there obviously was a huge gap between his body size and Kangin’s, he wouldn’t able facing him alone.

I was very excited, because of course, to be honest I was very sick of his feudalism too. But unfortunately, Sungmin shook his head.
